About Us

Mada is the world’s
Center of Excellence
in universal access in Arabic.

Mada Center was established in 2010 to promote the principles of inclusion and to build an accessible society for persons with disabilities and the elderly. Today, Mada has become the world’s Center of Excellence in Arabic universal accessibility and has contributed to Qatar achieving first place worldwide on the Digital Accessibility Rights Evaluation (DARE) Index 2020, issued by the United Nation’s Global Initiative for Inclusive Information and Communication Technologies (G3ict).

The Center implements strategic programs to empower the Education Sector in ensuring inclusive learning, the employment sector in enhancing job opportunities and entrepreneurship, and the broader community in becoming more enabling and responsive to the needs of persons with disabilities and the elderly, thereby ensuring social equity.

We also strive to lead scientific research and innovation by increasing the number of research publications and developing innovations and assistive technology solutions in Arabic, in order to enhance the independence of persons with disabilities and the elderly within their communities and enable them to enjoy a high quality of life.

Mada works through strategic and smart partnerships, delivering impactful projects and a suite of specialized services for institutions. These include supporting the development and accreditation of digital platforms and solutions according to international accessibility standards, ensuring physical accessibility across facilities and services, and building the capacities of specialists through tailored training programs. The Center also provides consultancy services and raises awareness on accessibility policies to enable different sectors to improve their services for persons with disabilities and the elderly, thereby fostering sustainable institutional practices that elevate quality of life and promote inclusion.
